Being the first in the family to get married meant we started from scratch. I wanted a simple and timeless style - something easy. In keeping with the natural beauty of Cedar Creek Lodges - White flowers with greenery was the way to go. The style blended flawlessly with the rainforest - with a candlelit dinner that added to the natural ambience of the surrounds. My wedding dress and shoes had to be something easy to move in and stay in all night - I love to dance and I'm a sucker for comfort. The biggest vibe I wanted to get right was the dance floor - we started off with a two piece acoustic over dinner - turn DJ further into the night, playing all the favourites.

WHAT WAS THE HIGHLIGHT OF YOUR DAY? SHARE A STORY WITH US!

The absolute highlight of my day would have to be the fun on the dancefloor - good DJ, flowing drinks and great family/friends make the dancefloor epic!! A close second would have to be coming down the pathway and laying eyes on my soon to be husband for the first time that day - literal goosebumps.

WHAT’S YOUR TOP TIP FOR COUPLES PLANNING THEIR WEDDING DAY?

The wedding process is so lengthy and tiring - however one thing I’d share is to embrace every single moment whether it’s happy, sad, good or bad. As once it’s over - you want to do it all again in a heartbeat. Invite the people that are "hell yes" and not just "maybes". Spend the money on music, photography and videography. And lastly - just relax, in the end the one main goal is to get married - if you've got that - you've done it!!
